Βρετανικός, Στενό της Κέας,1916 : 30 νεκροί
Ήταν το “μεγάλο αδελφάκι” του Τιτανικού, κατασκευασμένο και αυτό, σε ναυπηγείο του Μπέλφαστ το 1914 -1915. Ο Βρετανικός επρόκειτο να νηολογηθεί στη γραμμή Νέα Υόρκη – Σάουθάμπτον, αλλά τον πρόλαβε ο Α. Παγκόσμιος Πόλεμος. Το πλοίο επιτάχθηκε από το βρετανικό ναυτικό και, από τις 13 Νοεμβρίου 1915 ανέλαβε καθήκοντα πλωτού νοσοκομείου.
